Regarding Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) Every Sunday morning at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 Beijing time -- at these three times (5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 sharp) -- for at least five minutes each time, all Dafa disciples around the world have been thinking about eradicating all evil that damages Dafa, encompassing it all and leaving out none. They have also been silently reciting Master's Fa-rectification verse: "The Fa rectifies the cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated," and can also add: "The Fa rectifies heaven and earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime" as the need arises.

This can be done in any setting -- even if you are walking, eating, or working. Focus your mind, and you don't have to sit in a meditation position. While sending forth the righteous thoughts, think that you are like the Buddhas, Taos, and gods who are responsible for all righteous elements in the universe, and eradicate the evil resolutely. Imagine that you are like a god that is as tall as the heavens and incomparably noble, with an enormous body. Focus your efforts on your thinking, and send forth the purest and most determined righteous thoughts.

In addition, we suggest that each time before sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil (that is, beginning at 4:55, 5:55, and 6:55), you should first calm down for 5 minutes. In your mind intent, clean out the bad thoughts and ideas, karma, and bad notions or external interference in your mind. It is particularly powerful if the location chosen for sending forth righteous thoughts is near where the evil gathers.

All Dafa disciples all over the world should participate at the same time in the above activity of sending forth righteous thoughts at set times.

Below are a few issues that Dafa disciples around the world have generally had concerns about over the past several months:

1. Silently recite the verses

The requirement for reciting the verses is to "recite silently," not chant loudly. When silently reciting the verses, the more tranquil, the more steadfast, the more pure and stable the thoughts, the greater the power they will have.

2. How to recite silently

Strengthen the steadfast intent to eradicate evil and know that one's righteous thoughts will definitely be able to clear out the evil. Use pure compassion to calmly and silently recite the Fa-rectification verses.

3. With regard to the two kinds of verses, the two kinds of hand gestures, and the allocation of time

In some respects, the first verse is all-inclusive. The directive given by the second verse to the supernormal powers is more specific. The meaning behind the upright palm is extremely rich, encompassing compassion, understanding, compassionately eradicating evil, and so on. The lotus flower palm is pure compassion (Shan). Both kinds of hand gestures are powerful beyond compare. The choice of which hand gesture and the amount of time allotted to each can be as one wishes.

When sending forth righteous thoughts, after reciting the verse once silently, it is best if one can maintain righteous thoughts within a state of tranquility. When the righteous thoughts are not stable, repeat the verse again to focus one's energies. Repeatedly and continuously reciting the verses will affect one's state of tranquility; over-emphasizing the reciting of the verses could in fact restrict the range in which the supernormal powers are effective.
