New Understandings Gained during Protest Against the CCP's Persecution at the Finnish President's Office

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 26, 2009, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) State Council Vice-Premier visited Finland. On the day prior to his visit, we applied for a permit to protest in the field in front of the Finland President's office against the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. However, on June 26, 2009, when we arrived at the venue for the protest, the police had arranged for us to protest at another place that is further away from where we originally requested. The new site was near the entrance of the bridge where more tourist passed by. I thought in my heart, "This place is not favorable because when the CCP officials arrive at the President's office, they will not be able to see our protest." Some practitioners tried to progress towards the road opposite the main entrance of the office, but the Finland police who were maintaining order said that the approved site was not in front of the main entrance of the President's office.

In the beginning, I thought that since we were standing so far away, the CCP officials would not be able to see us, and we would not be able to achieve the purpose of our protest! Although in my heart I felt bad, I still participated in the activity. However, as the tourists who passed by took photos of us and upon observing them, my thoughts changed. I started to notice the reactions of the tourists after reading our banners. Some of them were sympathetic, some gave us a thumbs up to show their support, some inquired to clear up their misunderstandings, some wanted to find out more about our situation, some were indifferent and some even laughed at us. There were various types of reactions. Suddenly, I recalled what Master had mentioned before in his lecture, that he was not concerned about the results but instead with the actual process of doing it.

I suddenly understood! Our purpose is to offer salvation to sentient beings; everything we do is for this purpose. The evil CCP spirit is destined to be doomed so it is not imperative for it to see us protesting against it, but our behavior and actions are for sentient beings to see. During this process, if we could save more sentient beings, this is the real purpose of Fa-rectification.

I continued to pay attention to the volume of tourists and their expressions. I realized that within merely a few hours, thousands of tourists had seen us. Many tourist expressed their support and approval of our actions and some also come to clearly understand the truth about us. We managed to have more people obtain the truth. This place was really very good!

I started to become happy and gratified about this place where we were standing, and happy for the sentient beings who were saved.

At the same time, I understood that when we request the various government agencies to help tell the people of the world about the persecution that we are suffering or sue the evil people who persecute us, the results are not important. What's important is that during the process we can offer salvation to more sentient beings. On the surface, the methods we use are merely opportunities for us to come into contact with more people and to validate Dafa. All these manifestations are just forms that we have used to offer salvation to more sentient beings. Offering salvation to more sentient beings is our real purpose.

Of course during the process we also see our own shortcomings.If we could be more proactive in clarifying the truth to the police and the government agencies so they make the right choice, then during that process they will also be saved! When we save sentient beings, we should view all beings as equally precious and not differentiate between who is important and who is less important. Having the notion of who is more important is merely our own perception. What Master wants is to save all sentient beings. How could we not assimilate to Master's wishes and instead place more importance on our own choices?
